Plastic Facts
Our Impact (till Dec 23)
We have recycled over 3800 metric tons of various plastics
That's more than
35,300 MWh of electricity
4,120 tonnes CO2-eq
30,000 liters of water
(based on PLACES tool)
Single-use plastic disposal has a significant economic consequence. Whether the plastic byproducts are low-density polyethylene or high-quality ones, plastic is by nature non-biodegradable.
Recycling plastic requires up to 88% less energy
& less fossil fuel consumption than producing virgin plastic from scratch.
Plastic waste should be recycled to decrease the over-consumption of plastics and save natural resources in general. Statistics estimate that for every one ton of recycled plastic, 7 yards of landfill ground stays free of contamination.
1 ton of plastic recycled saves more than almost four barrels of oil
along with natural gas, petroleum, and coal.
Plastic waste is undoubtedly one of the most threatening pollutants. Recycling plastics is the most efficient way of turning trash into a valuable resource. Any plastic waste can be turned into multiple products and useful appliances after the process of recycling.
